Kevin and Dougie

Two perspectives.
One clear answer.

Kevin asks, “Is it a good deal?”

Dougie asks, “Can we make it happen?”

Why Coffeenomics exists

Commodity buying should be easier to understand.

Finding a product is only the beginning.

The supplier, specification, price, shipping, paperwork and delivery still need to agree with one another. They are not always naturally cooperative.

Coffeenomics helps buyers understand the whole route and speak with the right people along it.

Before Coffeenomics

It started with conversations.

Dougie brought Kevin into business meetings from an early age.

Kevin learned to question the numbers. Dougie had already learned to question whether the plan would survive contact with reality.

Years later, introductions through mutual friends led to strong relationships with people working in coffee-producing regions.

Those introductions became friendships. The friendships became trusted working relationships. Coffeenomics grew from there.

No grand founding myth. Just good people, useful conversations and rather a lot of coffee.

“Can we make it happen?”

Useful disagreement

Agreement is not the starting requirement.

Coffee and commercial documents inspected from two perspectives before one decision.

Kevin may find a strong number. Dougie may find the reason it will not work.

Dougie may find a promising opportunity. Kevin may ask for the evidence.

The aim is not to agree quickly. It is to give the client an answer that survives both questions.

Close relationships across borders

We do not pretend every pin on a map is an office.

Coffeenomics is based in Poland, works extensively in the United Kingdom and has close partners in Austria, Brazil, and South East Asia.

We also work with trusted people across the markets and supply routes relevant to each order.

It is a close working network built around people who understand the product, the place and the work.

Why the network matters

An order should not become anonymous when it starts moving.

We keep people close to the work throughout every order.

That supports clearer communication, better local context and fewer gaps between the supplier, logistics and final destination.

The goods may travel. Responsibility stays put.

What we believe

Five things that don’t change.

Useful before impressive

A clear answer is more valuable than a polished performance.

Private by default

Commercial requirements, prices and documents are not public content.

Direct when it makes sense

Buying closer to the source can improve the relationship and economics. It still requires proper planning.

Say when the current deal is good

Coffeenomics does not need to replace a supplier to provide value.

People remember how business felt

Good transactions matter. Good relationships make the next transaction easier.

Know the product.
Understand the deal.
Meet the people.
